Recreated by Anthony Sinclair in collaboration with Academy Costumes, the Madagascar Trousers faithfully reproduce those worn by Daniel Craig in the opening chase sequence of Casino Royale (2006).
Originally designed by Academy Award-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming and made by Academy Costumes, the trousers appear in the very first scene Daniel Craig filmed as James Bond. Twenty years later, Academy has returned to the original patterns and construction to recreate the design in partnership with Anthony Sinclair.
Cut from Irish linen woven by John England, the trousers capture the relaxed silhouette of the original costume. They feature a generous straight leg, a comfortable drawstring waistband, slanted side pockets and two rear patch pockets, faithfully reproducing the details seen on screen.
Although created for one of the most physically demanding sequences in Bond history, the Madagascar Trousers are equally suited to contemporary summer dressing. The lightweight Irish linen offers exceptional breathability, while the easy, unstructured cut makes them ideal for warm-weather travel and relaxed resort wear.
Made in England and produced exclusively to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of Daniel Craig's debut as 007, the Madagascar Trousers are offered as a Limited Edition.
